Hello there,

I've searched on the topics ,but I couldnt find my exact problem here.

I wanted to flash my old motherboard into the "W6119IMJ.290" (MS-6119) but when i boot from the floppy or manual then it hangs/freeze the system.(When I hit [enter] to load it) :?

I've tried also a other flash utillity but with no result.
Can the bios maybe locked for updates ??

This bios supports my PIII-500 and 512Mb memory.

There are two MS-6119 versions and BIOS:

w6119pxx.exe BIOS files for mainboard with "CPU PLUG AND PLAY" function only.
OEM Sign-On W6119MJ.
AWFL783M flash utility.

w6119sxx.exe BIOS files for standard motherboard
OEM Sign-On W6119MS
AWDFL770 flash utility.

Either there's no clean DOS bootfloppy or the Floppy is corrupted somehow or the flashprog is buggy.
Try Uniflash

Try Uniflash

Even when I start it from a harddrive the Flashprogram(s!) freezes up.
This board comes out of a PBell pc.
The Uniflash reconize rom-file ?

Well, this is a good reason for ask you to post your BIOS ID string number before...
Packard Bell has an OEM Microstar MS-6119 named Tacoma.
It's an Ami BIOS, not Award:
A6119P2 V1.53 090898
