Need to upgrade bios for new cpu

Hi guys. Ive got an old gigabyte mobo and need to upgrade the bios for cpu upgrade. I downloaded the new bios from Gigabyte.
But when I go to flash it the bios writer is looking for a bios.bin extension. The bios file from gigabyte is 7zx.fg giving it a fg extension. when I flash the bios with this file my machine won't boot. Any Help Appreciated.

Are you trying to flash it with flash867.exe?
It's an Ami BIOS, so if the flasher don't identify 7zx.fg file you can change the extension to 7zx.rom
