Can somebody tell me what exactly is the type of the memory that the BIOS use? I'm wondering if it is EPROM, EEPROM, FRAM or CMOS. Thanks in advance

Bios is stored in EPROM (old) or EEPROM chips. Configuration Info is stored in CMOS RAM buffered by a small battery. It usually copies parts in system RAM on boot-up.

On VERY old mobos, the BIOS was in a ROM chip.
I´ve several of this on my collection.
