Looking for information on the circuitry (hardware only)

Hi all,
I'm looking for information on the circuitry of an average BIOS configuration and its physical link to the CMOS, how the CMOS works internally, and possibly how the BIOS's POST interfaces with hardware (via what path, what kinds of circuits, etc.).
Can anyone let me know of a good resource out there for this?
