BIOS Updates forum

A friend gave me a virus ridden laptop to re-set. It is a Patriot 6000. There ends the ID. The only driver I can't get is the SIS 7012 for the sound. No downloads work. Nothing from SIS works or any other driver. I need to know which MotherBoard this is Everest says "Unknown"
The Bios ID is 63-0100-000001-00101111-051005-SIS661FX-1ABVs001-Y2KC.
Any help would be appreciated.

It seems Acom has sold this laptop but I can't find their website just yet. It's a good thing you gave a bios string. This was also marketed as Gericom Overdose 1440E but under all the labeling it's an ECS G557. It seems Gericom has noted we all noted it is a G557 and renamed the download folder accordingly
