BIOS Updates forum

Hey everyone,
I just flashed my bios with the XP 2.80 for ACER 3690. Done this before and worked fine, but with a differnt copy of the file. Now, my comptuer doesn't do anything but spin the CD a few times and sit idle...
I am thinking I need to recover my bios...I seen some threads and read up on it using the USB floppy, but I am wondering if this technique is specific to other models, or will it work for mine as well if i have the correct bios *.wph file?

Well, as quick as that I was helped on another forum....

The fix: Remove AC source and battery for approx 20mins and then install battery and start it up....
Supposingly this will set CMOS back to default???
