Hi

I've got problem with extracting my laptop's image with bios. I've downloaded bios image from asus site and it has strange extension .s301. I have no idea how can i extract from it bin and rom files. I tried with cbrom and bios information tool but they couldn't recognise this file. Any ideas?

what version of cbrom? This is a very recent 8Mbit AMI bios and it is very well possible your older cbrom can't handle it.

this is the old one, try to use the CBROM 1.82 or Asus cbrom 1.15 but it's for AWARD bios!

AMI use MMTOOL 3.19

On the rebelshaven there is Ami MMtool 3.22 in
RebelsHaven
Search in Topic: Using MMTool(AMI BIOS)
Also there is Foxconn FOX Logo utility that came with Amimmwin 1.19 and CBROM23 1.95.
This utility is bundled with all new Foxconn motherboards and can be downloaded from foxconnchannel
