HP Compaq NX7010

Hi, i have a HP Compaq NX7010 Laptop, when i start it, it shows the logo then dissaperes, if i press F10, no Setup, the cooler runs, the hard disk work, cd spin up, and nothing, No Post, i am thinkig maybe the Bios is corrupted, when i insert the bios flashing cd, then nothing, why? can anybody help? i can`t afford a new one.

Hi, can you help - I have the same issue now with my HP Compaq NX7010 laptop. I see that you didn't receive a reply from this post back in March - did you find out how to fix your laptop. Your experience may guide me in how to fix mine. Any advice appreciated. Steve.

maybe I can Help. I flashed my HP NX9000 under windows with a common result: dead mobo!
After a lot of Googling i found a solution. By connecting a "boot block jumper" to the parallel port of my notebook i was able to force it to do a crisis recovery from a USB floppy. This restored my corrupted BIOS and the notebook is running again.
