BIOS Updates forum

The Bios update listed on the Toshiba Website is defective and does not work. It's listed as Version 1.7. dated 9/13/07 If you attempt to update your BIOS using this version it will render the system unbootable.

There may be a bootblock method to recover. I don't use that process as I have access to programming equipment and offer BIOS recovery as a service.

I wish I would have read you warning sooner. I tried updating my flashcard on my toshiba p200 laptop and a corrupt file killed my computer. It is now dead, I turn it on and the HDD flickers for 2 seconds the dvd spins.....but no boot!!! What do I do???
