Sony Vaio VCPF112FX dead.

I have a Sony VAIO VCPF112FX, about a week ago it died after an update, does it have any crisis recovery i can turn to or can anyone tell me what kind of bios it has? I haven't tried anything on it because I have no idea what bios it has and never done anything like this before.
Sending it back to warranty isn't a real option laptop is bought out of the USA and I am from Romania so any suggestions on how i can get it working would rock, don't think Sony Romania would fix it under any circumstances.
