i have been given an acer aspire laptop the person who gave me the laptop used a program called cmos cleaner sure why i first thought he wanted to update his bios but after speaking to his ex wife she told me that he forgot the bios password on it so is there a way or sorting out the bios after the idiot used this program again called cmos cleaner i have given acer all the details of the laptop all serial numbers ect and they want to charge me £71 i cant really aford this even though the price does include courier costs there and back any help would be gratefully recieved

you will have to find the funds somewhere and charge the "idiot" that used the cmos cleaner for the costs.

i fully agree but like i said i have been given the laptop for free and was hoping there was a way i could sort the problem out heres hoping
