BIOS Updates forum

Hi All,

This is my first post on here, so sorry if I make no sense what so ever but here goes:

I recently bought a 19" Widescreen monitor (HP W1907S) from a friend and tried to use this with my Laptop... however, the max resolution I can obtain is 1024x768?!!

How can I get 1440x900 for instance?

I have been advised by my brother (IT Architect) that I should contact yourselves to see if anyone knows of a solution to my problem?

IF we decide to try and patch your bios, be advised after flashing that, ONLY the EXTERNAL monitor will work, the internal VGA will stop operation alltogether. This is a limit of the VBIOS files available to us.
