BIOS Updates forum

I was updating my bios version and it failed, now my lappy doesnt respond. I found out many ways to recover BIOS via usbdrive, but that process needs '.fd' and other files but acer hasnt provided any of them, there's just an unextractable .exe file on their site http://www.acer.co.in/ac/en/IN/content/drivers
So guys, what should i do to recover my bios.//??
(also,I have created bios backup from same working laptop using universal bios backup, its in .rom format. can i somehow use it..??? i m attaching that file)

First unpack the 4MB BIOS_Acer_1.19_A_A.zip file, in the resulting \BIOS_Acer_1.19_Windows\Windows folder, unpack the ZR7_119w.exe file with 7-zip, it is producing a ZR7x64EC.fd file. You specifically need to use 7-zip for unpacking the .exe
