Enable Virtualization in AMD A6?

hi all, it's been a really really long time (years) since i've last posted on here and I send my warm regards to all of you.

I've recently purchased a toshiba satellite C55D-A5208 and I'm having a real hard time with virtualbox (or any VM appliation infact.) They're all coming up with an error saying AMD-V isn't enabled. I checked every nook and cranny in the BIOS and there's absolutely nothing about it in there. A little research on the AMD A6-5200M processor reveals that it does support VT. My guess is that toshiba has blocked this function for whatever reason.

Is there anyway to patch the BIOS to enable this function? Thanks!

parrot but this is Toshiba POLICY:

So, save some more money, eventually sell of this cheap-ass lappie and get a REAL laptop that is DESIGNED to run what you want as this one obviously is not. Even thought the CPU itself support virtualization, the rest of this mom-n-pop lappie does not.
