Hello,

One simple, short question. I need to extract the Windows key from an Acer laptop that it's destroyed and can no longer be functional. I need some light on this subject. With a running machine in either MS or Linux it would be pretty easy, but from a BIOS dump ?? It's an INSYDE bios as seen by the phoenixtool 2.66 .....

The windows key is (was) on a sticker on the laptop casing bottom side. Any other way of obtaining the windows key is considered illegal, especially wanting to use it for another device is forbidden. It is stored inside the OS, not in the BIOS btw.
