BIOS Updates forum

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1905-S301 notebook. This particular model has an overheating issue, which causes it to shutdown all the time. The only fix Toshiba has posted for this is a bios update. I downloaded the update and attempted to flash the bios. The computer shutdown halfway through the update, now the computer won't boot at all. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Is my bios trashed, if so is there a fix to this problem?

All depends on whether Toshiba mentions some sort of recovery mode, and/or whether the BIOS chip is removable (so as to have it programmed elsewhere).
