Dead HP ze4325US after BIOS Flash

I have an HP model "ZE4325US" laptop that was flashed with the wrong BIOS (provided by HP) and now only flashes its lights and turns off after about 1 second. I read something about a bootblock and somehow fixing it? Please if someone could tell me what I need to do so I dont need to spend $400 for a new mainboard!

I am bumping this ancient thread because the exact same scenerio just turned my laptop into a paperweight.
HP refuses to accept responsibility for the problem, and I would like to find other people that this has happened to.

"Provided by HP" on their download page for this particular model complete with instructions?

Yes. The bios and utility provided for this model by HP on their own website causes it to fail.
