I only ended up with two filenames...
s36b2141.exe : 02/08/1996 update (dd/mm/yyyy)
s36b2142.exe : 13/11/1996 update
I have a feeling that "C" meant color back then, and "D" meant "dual scan".

I'm sorry I must be more lost than I thought.
I looked up the above file names in google and came back with nothitng.
I have spent nine hourd on this so far.
I've been to the IBM ftp site and found that the /pub/pcc???/mobiles is empty.

They now use
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com , but they've deleted a lot of older stuff.
I only found a direct link to the older BIOS release. Which one's your current one?

I'm at v1.0 for the current bios.
Oh ... um, do you happen to know where I can find the DIP Switch settings for this laptop?
