always run ready to update bios,insert diskette

My laptop is toshiba 2100cdt, why if i turn on my laptop always run ready to update bios,please insert the diskette.
i try update bios (insert the diskette update) and working but if i shutdown my laptop and turn on again always back again: ready to update bios,please insert the diskette,now if i want turn on my laptop i must insert the diskette update bios...somebody help me to fixit

You might have a faulty BIOS chip that doesn't retain its contents properly after some time of inactivity.

You can find out if the BIOS chip is socketed, meaning it'd be replaceable.
