Help with A21M laptop

Good morning, I have a IBM A21m LapTop Here is my headace! I have had the same password for over a year. When you power up it wants it's password
the laptop has never failed to come on on tell today.? after I put in the password It say OK then goes back to lockup. HELP what & How do I get in.
