Edit Pheonix BIOS V4.0 for Vaio PCG-C1F

Hi all,
I have a 5 year old sony Vaio PCG-C1F and want to update the bios to accept larger HD and boot via USB (if possible) etc .
To phlash the ROM it uses Phlash2.exe and a Platform.BIN is also used.
I have tried the Phoenix Bios Editor, but it only support LZINT files, so does any have a an editor I could use or recommend a way to edit it?
Or, do I have to use an older version of the BIOS Editor?
Help and advice would be much appreciated.
