CTX 700E bios

Have 2 of these, one boots fine from a 12gig drive, the other doesnt (will only go up to 6gig)
I suspect its a bios issue as you can install win2k on them but on rebooting it cant find ntldr.
Funny thing is that linux works perfectly
Which would suit me but the intended recipient wouldnt be impressed!
Cant find any images at all so can someone help?
