I just bought a second-hand TP600X, which had 8611 error at boot. I removed the keyboard and reseated the cable, but it didn't help. When I twisted the keybord cable, I got it to boot without the error. Can I mod the bios of 600X laptop in the same style as in the 600E to disable the trackpoint:

on the "base 128 cmos" page:
at ofset 20h (1st column, 3rd row)
change value to "01"

So basicly, how do I disable the trackpoint with the bios editor in 600X?

That's it: change value to "01"

I did it with my 600X as a test and it worked. (1st column, 3rd row)

Hallo,

my Problem is, that i can´t write "01" or "0A"

all of the other letters of the HEX system are possible, but not the "01" and the "0A".

Is there any trick?
