After upgrading bios on my SONY VAIO PCG-R505DCK
(original bios from SONY site)
I didn't see internal modem
(Conexant-Ambit® SoftK56 Data/Fax Modem)
before upgrading bios I used modem few month ago
so I'm not sure its happend because of upgrading or not
I try low level utility http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/modemident.php
under windows and also under Linux by ls pci
but didn't any string related to modem

Is it possible? or my modem dead?

Hmm, maybe bios allocates interrupts differently? Which operating system are you running? Did you try deleting the modem and letting the operating system find it again?

bsd, linux, win
