Need help with bios configuration.......

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me. We have an AJP 7321 Notebook which has Windows ME as the programme. I'm trying to upgrade to XP, but am having trouble. Microsoft support tell me that it is not booting from the CD so I need to find out the bios configuration for them to be able to fix the problem. AJP have not replied to my emails as the notebook is 4 years old and we in Australia. Help?????

Can't you create BOOT diskettes?

Oh and this laptop is indeed pretty old, a mobile athlon 1.1/384MB might be a bit sluggish when using windows XP.
