hello you all,

first of all, sorry for my english

now, i have a problem.
i just received an old laptop, "white" laptop (some company bought the computer's parts and assemble it).
i scaned my computer with Sisoft Sandra, because i wanted to know all about the computer that i received.
sandra show me a Warning that i should fix (attached link)

i set the bios to DEFAULT settings (there isn't optimised or such thing) but sandra still show me this Warning.

so, i figured, that i have to update my bios (sandra told me to do that also).

BUT-

i don't know the manufacturer of the motherboard...
even the EVEREST software not recognized my motherboard.

here is some information that i succeded to find.

(yes, i know, i need more RAM.. there isn't a hatch to the RAM in the back of the laptop.. only to the HD... i'm afraid that the RAM is burned to the motherboard :?: how can i know that??)

guys, please help me, i am completly lost..

how can i update my bios??

thanks

SiSoft Sandra is only advising, it cannot tell you to do things, if your system is running OK Sandra can babble all she wants.

Your laptop appears to be a relabeled Uniwill N35BS1 also sold under the brands Advent, Gericom, Krystaltech, DTK, Enpower, Ashton, Systemax and others.

If you are willing to risk a flash with the generic Uniwill bios, it's here together with the manual and drivers so you can at least find out how to add memory and can install an operating system.

The PT-2200 mainboard designation points to either this model N34BS1/N35BS1 or a regular socket 7 pentium 1 desktop mainboard by FIC. Not hard to choose then...
