Hi there,

I have an Acer Aspire 1522. After changed the video adapter from fx go5700 to fx go5200 (since burned), the notebook had problems with 3D applications. So I decided to make a bios upgrade of the motherboard with the latest version from the Acer website. Then after rebooting the laptop beeps 1 long and 2 short and nothing more happens.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If you have an Award Bios and you hear these beeps, it mens that there is a video adapter error. Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly. Look here for more info: BiosCentral

Thanks for your reply,

the bios is a Phoenix, but I asked Acer for the meaning of the beeps and they confirmed that there is a video card problem.

Try to replace the old video adapter and see if it helps.
