My 41GB IBM hard drive work on it only if I move the jumper (on the HD) to set it to 32GB!
First my award id was
2A69KB0CB-00
with bios TBC0923B (09/22/1998)
so my mobo is a M6TBC from biostar.
I have tried the update on biostar website but awdflash was saying that this update isn't for my modo... id different! the id in the bios is 2A69KB0CC-00 !
But i made the update, my award id was changed to the bios id but the hard drive still unavaible!
I tried the http://wims.rainbow-software.org update... the problem still here!
PLEASE HELP ME!!
thx

You need to use a flasher which will allow you to flash even with this different ID, such as http://www.uniflash.org/.
Often the different ID indicates a different board, but some manufacturers used a different ID for a different BIOS version.

the patched bios is on my mobo but it don't solve my problem...
The flash worked right because now the new bios version is diplayed on boot screen...
Your bios doesnt work for me (no hd over 32GB)... my hard drive is an IBM Deskstar - 41Gb 7200RPM

With the jumper removed, does the POST hang at the autodetect of the the drive ? or does it continue to the configuration display screen ?

patch it with bp
Look at the "untested" link for (Biostar M6TBC BP).zip
apple_rom (www.rom.by) has a sophisticated patcher "bp" which adds some code to the BIOS in 2 additional modules.
The patch can be disabled at boot by holding down the "minus" key or by disconnecting the keyboard.

Rico - Apparently you have posted your problem in two places. See my suggestions under your other post in the General category. And if you have flashed your board with the same BIOS image as CrYpToNyM you will have created some problems unless you have exactly the same main board as them.
