I have Asus P5A-B socket 7 board. I can not update the bios.
I am to the point where I should be able to do it. In the flash.exe program and I pick step 2 (Update the bios) and it wont let me. It says I might need to change the VPP voltage from 5 volts to 12 volts to flash the chip. I've looked all over the board for the jumper to do this but I cant find anything.
Do you know how to change the voltage?
Bios wont flash HELP

What is FLASH.EXE and where did you get it?
Did you boot to a clean DOS prompt?

Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
Try aflash first ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/B ... ash206.zip. If it fails, try pflash ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/B ... ash_16.zip or flash ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/B ... lash53.zip.
