My motherboard was made by Elitegroup computers (ecs). I would like to know what motherboard I have. I tried to get the drivers but I didn't know which one I had. I also would like to know what is the reason people upgrade their bios?

I would like to get the chipset update. Is there a site for it?

needed drivers :
AGP113 - chipset drivers
IDE202 - IDE drivers
Maybe needed ;
SIS900LAN for OnBoard LAN - drivers are old(114) - there are 116.01 floating in the net
SIS7012 OnBoard sound - drivers are old too - newest ones at windowsupdate
Newer Revision of K7S5A/M830LR have CMedia 9738/9739 Sound - latest driver 5.12.01.0025 at windowsupdate

BTW ECS has not released a K7S5A Bios with 011213 Release date so your board should be the K7S5A sister Board Pcchips M830L - Pcchips used ECS 1131 manufacturer ID and ECS used Pcchips 1437 ID in older Bios versions
The K7S5A Bios inclusive the OC-Versions are reported to work perfect on M830L ( which is identical to the K7S5A)
