======================================

Currently running Windows XP Professional.

These particular desktop systems are believed to be put together and sold as a complete unit by HP/Compaq (the other software downloads correspond to all of the other existing hardware which would seem to confirm this) and came with Vista pre-installed. The person purchasing at the time was told by the sales staff (from Harvey Norman, Australia) that XP could not be installed. However, a clean install of XP was carried out successfully but it now appears HP/Compaq had no interest in supporting Windows XP operating system.

It is believed to be an ECS-manufactured motherboard (socket AM2) but the actual model (MCP61PM-HM) doesn't appear listed on the ECS site:

OR

The Compaq website redirects to the HP site when searching for software/drivers. The only software available through the HP website (except a HDD firmware update) is for Vista:

Vista downloads:

It is made by ECS for HP only as OEM board, I suspect there won't be a retail equivalent. HP has 5 variants of it.
