This is going to be the first time I need to upgrade my BIOS, so I need to be really sure if I'm flashing it with the correct BIOS. I've got the following information from the eSupport utility:
Gigabyte Motherboard
BIOS Date: 01/17/01
BIOS Type: American Megatrends
BIOS ID: 62-1001-000000-00101111-071595-AMD_VIA-7DXB18
OEM Sign-On: 7DX V1.0R
Chipset: AMD 700E rev 18
Superio: VIA 686 rev 64 found at port 7h
BIOS Rom Size: 256K
When I tried to identify it with the utility from AMI, it said it had a non standard AMI Bios ID. It was ID'd as a NEC-BIOS (using a NEC computer). I think I need the latest BIOS provided here: http://tw.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Sup ... GA-7DX.htm but I really want to be sure about that and I hope you expert guys can help me out here. Any help is really appreciated!

If this board is from an NEC system you will find BIOS upgrades here:

There is a Bolos and Helios version, with BIOS updates for each. If you flash an NEC board with the Gigabyte BIOS, there is no guarantee the board will function properly - the Gigabyte OEM board may be customized for NEC.
