Hi guys, i bought this Dell Dimension 3000 for small business.

I dont know what my motherboard is. I did the steps needed to get this info:

BIOS ID: Dell 0TC666 BIOS Version: A02
OEM Sign-On: None

Also, from dell's website active x utility:
General Information

SIW tool:

The reason I am asking and I need to find my motherboard is to figure out how fast can a hard drive i want to purchase can run. I want to buy the

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

I want to figure out if it is suitable for my machine and if i have a SATA2 interface -- to be able to benefit from the speed

Thank you guys for your assitance in advance!

Kurt.

Your board is ecent enough to support HDD sizes that big and it may also have SATA controllers. You have to read your manual to find out what type of IDE HDD you need. Also try the support at www.dell.com, there should be plenty of Info about your Dimension 3000.
