You should not try to use BIOS from another board. It can work, but there are many risks which results in killed board (unless you have experience with hot-flashing).

Hi tere Rainbow.
Never did a bios upgrade/flash. What is hotflash? How is it done? where can I get EXACT instructions?

Old computer and have nothing to lose by trying. Cannot do much with comp at the moment so would like to try. Cant find maker of board or BIOS upgrade for it.

First, save the BIOS to a file as a backup (manufacturer is dead, so you can't download the BIOS anywhere).
Hot-flash method is described at my homepage: http://rainbow.ht.st/hardware/hotflash.html

Why do you want new BIOS?
