Desperated... Cannot identify my MOBO.

Hello,

After weeks spent in internet to find my motherboard model (my computer was bought in MediaMarkt - electronic mall known across the europe) I HAVEN'T FOUND THE MODEL of my motherboard - it has no sticks, no model number, anything on PCB. The BIOS string is "05/28/2002-P4X266-8233-ID6LWE0CC-00" (google fails when trying to find this string) it is CHAINTECH looks identicaly to ES-675M (9VIF),



Socket478, uATX
P4X266 w/8233 SB,
2xDDR PC2100 266MHz,
3xPCI,
AGP,
USB1.1,
2xUDMA100

but my motherboard doesn't have ISA (which CHAINTECH claims to be optional) slot and doesn't have onboard VGA (no option to activate in BIOS). CHAINTECH's support is crappy. They DO NOT respond e-mails. I downloaded bioses for ES-675M from chaintech's site and bios for ES-675B from wimsbios ftp (Thanks KURIAKI) but none worked for me. Since now i put my faith in You - forum users. Help me identifying this mainboard.

i sent You from BIOS Agent... Chaintech ES-675B has identical layout to ES-675M, but BIOS files from both mobos aren't allowed by awdflash.exe... anyone else bought computer "NTT System" in MediaMarkt in mid 2002? Anyone else has the same problem?

The color of the original is purple but that is just the colour. It has 3 PCI slots and no onboard VGA

but my mainboard has 2 DDR slots, your probes had 3 DDRs

i think i found the model of my MOBO in the way i could it have done few times... i editet the extracted BIOS file (as i have done before) ad found something:

9VID - but chaintech hasn't it listed on it's webpage, neither KURIAKI has any BIOS for it in his archives... Any ideas how to find any BIOS newer than 28-05-2002??? Maybe editing beginnings of BIOS bin files and looking for "9vid" string?

Kuriaki is it possible to auto-scan "chaintech" directory?

All the motherboards mentioned in this web page are well known Chaintech retail motherboards, with a exception only... 9VID.

I have 1,188 BIOS files from Chaintech and there are no one named 9vid.bin. Can you say us where can we download the file containing "%Ř-lh5-Ľ) P 9vid.BIN ™"?

Apart from the above listed boards, Chaintech is about to manufacture a number of ATX solutions for systems integrators. Remarkable products are 9SJD built on SiS645, 9BID built on Brookdale supporting DDR SDRAM and 9VID built on VIA PX266.

This means there is no retail variant.

"NTT System" is the next thing to go search about, who has made them etc...

No retail variat means that this MOBO wan't on the shelves or could not be bought in e-shop i suppose.... ?

On monday i call NTT Systems (in Warsaw - the same city i live in ) and try to get information form them if this MOBO is 9VID (99% from me that i have 9VID). NTT Systems assmebly computers for MediaMartk. MediaMarkt support is crappy like CHAINTECH. Maybe they (NTT Systems) know more. Anyway thanks for help guys.

BIOS for ES-675B which was your fisrt guess for me (unfortunately wrong) - the bios file name was es-675b.bin, but while editing this file i found 9VJD string (and no es-675b.bin string) at the beginning. Are you able to search through /chaintech directory and find if thre is a file containing 9VJD string???

Exact file name is es675b-4.bin.
Is the only one containing 9vjd.BIN string.

When somebody ask for an impossible BIOS like yours it takes many hours searching my sources.
And many Wimsbios moderators and members are searched too much hours trying to help you for sure.
