Hello everyone,

I want to update my BIOS and therefore want to know which one I need.
During startup, I get the following message:

Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
K7VZA Ver 1.1g 12/06/2000

At the bottom of the screen:

12/06/2000-8363-686A-K7VZAC-00

Can anyone help me please?

ECS (Elitegroup) K7VZA. There are several revisions of this board, so you'll have to check the motherboard for a Vx.x marking on it.

I've found K7VZA Rev 1.0 printed between two PCI-Slots.
Is that what I am looking for?

Thanks for your answer, but I still have a question:

There is a list of different BIOS, which one do I have to choose?

And another question:
Are the changes listed there the only ones which were made?
No improvement concerning performance etc. ?

Use the latest Bios ECS offers .
Not all changes are listed here - usually most fixes regard compatibilitiy issues but performance might be tuned, too .

Ok, but I have one last question:

they say that for all 1.1 BIOS versions one should use Flash Award, while for the most recent Version 1.2 one should use WinFlash.
What should I do? I've heard that flashing using Win is risky.

Then use Award flash if you wish...
