Please check if the entire string is listed here and reply with the reported motherboard:
http://www.wimsbios.com/chipset/2A5IM.jsp

That way we might be able to track down if it has onboard audio and if so, what kind. If not, we'll have to check the soundcard for any markings.
I think mine is this 08/31/2000-SiS-530-6801-2A5IMZ19C-00 Zida T530B as per the link u provided

It's still Crystal 4235 as Denniss already suggested.

try the Windows 98 WDM driver:
http://www.cirrus.com/en/software/drive ... Px3010.zip

or try the Windows NT driver:
http://www.cirrus.com/en/software/drive ... Ps0192.zip
If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.

After I try to install the windows 98 WDM driver as you suggested its been 2 hours yet it hasn't stop. After I clicked on Install drivers that cup thing comes up and after say about 20 or 30 mins the system sleeps and then when I move the mouse that install drivers window turns white fully blank. So I cant make it out if its installing or not. Still it has been 2 hours and its still running. I will wait for more 5 mins then I will just exit it. I want some 1 to take my system on remote desktop and check it.

Zida T530B-S with onboard sound which is indeed a Crystal 3D sound solution. I have no idea why the drivers don't install, is this a clean windows install or has this disk been used in other systems as well?

Please remove all sound drivers in your device manager and restart. They should now be re-detected.

a screenshot is made by pressing the Prnt-Scrn button, opening mspaint and use the Paste function, saving the file, uploading it to some webpage (uploadit.org or your own webspace/homepage somewhere) then link to that.

For reference:

PrtScr will "snap" the entire screen.

Alt - PrtScr will "snap" the selected window.

Thanks.

This doesn't make sense. We're fooling around with windows98/NT software/drivers on an XP machine. Start the thing in safe mode, kick out all sound drivers (including the crystal WDM stuff, reboot and let windows detect the soundcard. If that does not work, it may have been disabled in the bios. If not, you should disable it in the bios and put in a seperate soundcard.
