my computer is packard bell, known as platinum, problem is, i don't have acpi support in xp and some other things,

with eSupport's bios agent i gained this info:

bios type: American Megatrends
bios id: 62-0810-000000-00101111-071595-V694V686-1AAGJ008

(i think that this is all the relevant info)
i checked in ami site with mbid, but it said that the bios has been modified by nec, so they can't help me.
if u can help, please do.
thanks

Did you reinstall XP and FORCE ACPI instead of standard PC?

Flash your BIOS at your own risk.

I've seen MSI fluke on ACPI on other bioses of their boards. Would not be surprised at all if it still doesn't work.
