Hi,
I suspect an anti-CMOS virus is on my laptop, and need to re-flash my BIOS.
I have a Fujitsu Monte Carlo, model FPC07002A.
It has a Phoenix BIOS, and I don't know how to open it up to check motherboard manufacturer. I have tried googling, without luck.
Any other info you need, please feel free to ask.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Phoenix BIOS on Fujitsu Monte Carlo laptop
All I was able to find was this Y2K page:
http://www.fpc.fujitsu.com/www/support. ... ebooks/y2k
Product: LifeBook Monte Carlo FPC07002A
BIOS vendor/Revision: Phoenix Technologies 4.04, Fujitsu Limited 1.05
BIOS date: 6/7/96
Motherboard: CA20254-B26X
If you suspect some malware has infected your BIOS firmware, then use a utility such as Uniflash to backup your BIOS image to a file. Then scan this file with an antivirus program.
