...a label stuck to it that reads 7AIA0-H100C FRO122-1 V2.0
I haven't found any references to it on the web .
What does it mean - is it the bios chip model ?

That is the main model number plus some extra codes internal to chaintech.

The H100C is somewhat like an internal motherboard revision, sometimes Chaintech excludes somes of these revisions from using newer Bios files. The Vxx part usually denotes what Bios version was installed on delivery.
