Tomato 6ABX with pIII. supporting BIOS update

(sorry for poor english) I have Tomato (Zida) 6ABX motherboard, intel 440BX chipset, slot1, pentium II. system. I have a BIOS update too, that supports pentium III.
The frequency can be only jumpered, no soft-menu in the updated BIOS. The max. ferquency that can be jumpered is 500 MHz. (5x, with 100 MHz FSB).
My questions is:
Can I use a pentium III. in this motherboard really (perhaps with a slot1->fcpga adaptor), and the processor speed will be maximum of 500 MHz?
