and what diff. would it make ?
It displayed something like this:
Flash ROM chip: SST 29EE010/5V
PC Partner boards usually have jumpers for Flash ROM programming voltage - that's why I'm asking.

What version of UniFlash did you use? It hangs at the beginning of flashing?

i use UniFlash 1.28 , and it hangs just after i enter the bin file name...when i hit enter after i type in the name , the cruser jumps into the next line and nothing happens ...NOTHING...
Looks like it can't write to the chip (I see that there's no timeout for Atmel chips, will be in next version...). The awdflash included in the ZIP file does the same thing?

it worked , the problem was in the bootdisk (floppy) there was some error in the bootup files...i changed the floppy and everthing worked fine , one problem though , i have to use the -Reboot command or it will not give me anything after it finishs flashing the bin file to the chip...
