i have an old computer with a 486 mobo , the BIOS ID string is :

08/19/97-580VPX-SMC669-2A5LDV3BC-00

i did some searching @ net and found out that :

BIOS Date: 08/19/97
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 08/19/97-580VPX-SMC669-2A5LDV3BC-00
BIOS Eval: BIOS-S (70807A)
Chipset: VIA 82C585 rev 35
Superio: SMC 669 rev 2 found at port 3F0h

wich mobo is this , and where can i find an updated BIOS bin file...i know it's old but there must be one out there...?!?!

btw , i tryed searching for the BIOS and got to PCpartner's website and found this :

VIB814DS =VT82C585VPX + VT82C586A Baby AT AWARD 35-8814-XX = 06/19/1998-580VPX-SMC669-2A5LDV3BC-00 BIOS-S (80619)

but i'm not sure that this is the right BIOS...and i'm not going to try to flash it unless someone confirms that this BIOS works for that mobo or someone finds a working BIOS for it...

thanks in advanced...

It looks OK, but can you find that number on your motherboard to confirm ?

The VIB804DS.ZIP contains 4 BIOSes.
