i have a thin client with a
Supertek ST-3WT Rev. 0.3 mainboard. the mainboard has
1 x LAN,
1 x IDE,
2 x RS232,
1 x LPT,
2 x USB
1x EISA with raiser-card: 1xPCI or 1xISA
1x SDRam
processor: Geode 233MHz
chipset: cyrix cx5530

What is the brand and model of the thin client box itself? Information on this board is very hard to find and any lead might get us closer to actual info or a manual...

the thin client box is from "Athena" in the netherland and the model is "Tube 2000"

but there are no information about my old model.
I need the manual for the jumper settings and for the connection-pins on the mainboard.
the mainboard works fine but the cpu has 233MHz and when I start the manchine, the bios determine 300MHz...because of that fact, I have installed a fan on the cpu.

That is odd. These people are in the very same city as I am. I've emailed them in Dutch for info, let's wait and see what they come up with.

Their response: it was delivered completely configured from Taiwan so we don't have any info on the inner workings. I asked them if they could check the original manufacturer but it seems that has gone out of business...

Hi Arne, I also bought a tube2000 with st-3wt motherboard and also tried finding a manual for it. Using some other manuals for more or less alike boards, I found out at least some things.
The dip switch determines the cpu speed : 2-ON = 266 MHz, 2,3,5-ON = 300 MHz, 2,4,5-ON = 333 MHz.
The jumper block near the DOC determines the base address of the DOC.
The connector near this jumper block seems to be the IrDa connector.
What the other jumpers do is unknown to me, even after several tests.
I'm trying to determine the jumper for BIOS reset, but can't find it. Now at each powerdown I have to preset the BIOS again..
Btw, I put in 256Mb RAM and a 120Gb disk and installed Win XP on it. It's amazing how fast this thing is despite a full XP; I can work in a normal fashion.

the dip switches 3,4 and 5 are responsible for the multiplier. 1 and 2 control the FSB.
set the dipswitches 3-5 to ON OFF OFF for a multiplier of 7 (=233MHz with a 33MHz PCI clock). if you need a complete dipswitch matrix i'll hack up one for you.
and btw. if someone dares to install Linux on it (like me, hehe), he/she will get rewarded with UDMA/33.

That's the first thing I did cause the old battery was drained. It didn't work out however. Later on I found the new (measured good) battery to be drained too. Did some more evasive tests now. It turns out JP9 is the cmos jumper. When 1-2 shorted the resistance across the battery is infinite (nothing connected to battery). When 2-3 shorted the resistance is in the order of some Megs. This should be the "hold" position. Then I took a new battery, tried it out, no success.. Something more curious: the chip from Texas Instruments to which the battery is connected, type 18A89CK F08 is unknown on the entire internet ??

thank you for your help, now my "thin client" runs at 233MHz and I can remove the active-cpu-cooler that I have installed.
jumper JP13 is on 2-3 (jumpered to the battery)
jumper JP9 is on 1-2 (jumpered to the ISA/PCI-Card)

I had the same problem that my bios settings lost everytime when I disconnect the power cord. I have installed a new battery, but no luck. So I decided to check the jumper. Sorry for the late response, but I was away at the weekend.
I have tested:
- one 512MB PC133 with Infineon HYB39S512400DR-7.5 chips (8chips on each side, double-side)
- one MSC 864V32AD3DT4TDG-75AiSi/X 256MB PC133 nonECC 32Mx64 CL3-3-3 with Infineon HYB39S12800CT-7.5 chips (8chips on each side, double-side)
but both will only display 64MB in the thin client
