Slot1 CPU holders

Request help finding jumper settings or a motherboard manual.

Not to hijack this thread, but the photo shows what I need to ask.

Those three black plastic pieces in the photo that hold down the Slot 1 CPU...can you buy those as seperate parts? I got a used board here that has the CPU stuck in the slot, but does not have those installed, so nothing is holding it in.

Depends on the board of what will fit but yes, those things are available as seperate item. Can you publish a pic of the CPU and one of the slot on your board in question taken from directly above it so we can see the mounting holes? That way we might be able to steer you in the right direction for a holder.

Board is a SOYO SY-6KL with a Celeron 266/66 (SL2SY).

I've taken some of these CPU holders from dead boards. But many of the dead boards don't have them and many of them can be repaired - so I have more working boards than holders... And also all holders don't fit all boards.

@edwin - The manual for the motherboard has images of the components required, and is still available at SOYO. (m6kl11.pdf)
