If the boot order is set then the board should follow it, if not, there's a piece of hardware not cooperating or there's a bug or... the CMOS battery may be low. It tries to boot from the CD but fails. So I am trying to get that one out of the mix. I want to see if the board fails to boot from the SSD or indeed the CD is dysfunctional. I think the problem is that the bios doesn't remember that it should boot from the SSD, but when it boots, by putting a boo...

It's a Antec TruePower Quattro ATX2 850. I never did physically disconnect my CD player.What is the make and model of your power supply and how does your system react if you physically disconnect the CD/DVD-player?
I think it is a BIOS problem, that's why I posted in this section.

I bought the Kingston hyperx predator pcie ssd a few days ago, and put it on my Asus P6T motherboard in a PCIex16 slot. My system (Windows 7 64 bit is on this ssd. Checksum bad after flashing Asus P5GD1
When I upgrade new MB Asus P5GD1 to (AMI) Bios version 8.05 or 9.01 I get message "CMos checksum bad. Overclocking failed." But I was not overclocking, I used the deafult Bios settings. When I then boot up WindowsXP, new hardware is found: secondary IDE channel. But this driver cannot be installed. ...
