indeed, there is a risercard mounted on the mobo, which has (top-bottom) 1 pci, 1 shared isa/pci (which contains the scsi), 2 dedicated isa and 3 pci slots. whether there are any pci-slots inactive i don't know where to look for: can i see somewhere in the surepath-bios if there are pci-slots deacti...

hi guys, You have the SCSI card in your shared slot, and your Trident Video Card in another...correct? If so, you have at least 2 PCI slots working... the scsi-card is in the shared slot (and the associated isa is empty as it should be) but the trident video chip is on board! - Can you tell us exact...

Hi NickS, - Yes, the output is when the USB card was installed - I do have 3 spare PCI-slots, but the problem is that they don't seem to respond (when i plug the scsi-card in one of the free slots i can't boot the system anymore - Concerning the CMOS, the Surepath-bios doesn't seem to offer me much ...

problems with pci-usb-card on aptiva 2168
hi there, a friends daughter is a poor student and still works with an old aptiva 2168 (pentium 100). last week her printer died so she had to buy another one and because usb-printers are nowadays the cheapest in the market she asked me to put an usb-add-on card in her pc so she could start printing...

If I got it right, inserting the HDD parameters manually as user-defined works ok? indeed it works, but only partially: the pc starts up because the bios doesn't stops when starting (when hdd set to auto bios keeps searching for a hd), but the behaviour of win98se (and even dr-dos for the wd-diagno...

AJZ, indeed, it looks a full 100% like the picture of the m750i sorry for the trouble, but i didn't even thought that the second brown socket could be a second processor slot, i thought it was an agp slot altough it was in een awfull position to mount a video-card (why on earth would they put two pr...

AJZ, i'm beginning to doubt if the mobo is really a pcchips-board (although bios-checks say so), because i can't find one in the database that gives a full match with the components on it. it certainly isn't an M767, because the lay-out is completely different, i would like to show you a photo of th...

hi, sorry to bother, but it's me again: after taken a close look at the pictures on the site and the motherboard of the computer, i see there are some significant differences: the mobo in the troubled pc looks very similar to the models pii3100a and b but the ide and floppy controllers aren't locate...

thank you, your tip was helpfull (the database wasn't wrong, i did a query with faulty parameters, there are 4 instead of 3 PCI slots), i've found that it should be either a pii-3100a or b, but i can't see the difference between them. i'll print out the manuals and see if i can find something (i've ...

62-1217-001437-00101111-071595-440bx
hi there, can anyone help me in identifying my motherboard? i want to do a bios-upgrade (ami-biosdate is now 7/15/95) because i have troubles installing a new caviar wd400 harddisk. the bios-id says 62-1217-001437-00101111-071595-440bx, so i have found out that it should be a pcchips-board, but i ca...
