I have P1 computer with Intel triton 3 chipset (tx430) with 128k bios chip. I read that you can flash 29f040b by hotswap method in this mb using uniflash. I tried it, unsuccessfully. Of the 512 kb file size, uniflash will program only last 128 kb to the last 128 kb on the chip. I was successful in programming 128 kb file on this chip, but my actual file size I want to program is 512 kb.
Any suggestions?
I tried different approach also. Since uniflash was correctly programming last 128kb, I created 4 files, first was original 512 kb file, 2 nd was 384 kb file with last 128 kb cut off, 3 rd was 256 kb file with last 256 kb cut off, and 4 th first 128 kb file. I programmed these files one after the other, starting with 512 kb file, hoping that I will get correct programming. Is this OK? I have no means to read the chip after programming to verify.
