Hello all,

I want to change bios logo at HP dx5150s pc, full screen HP logo.
I downloaded latest rom from hp site, and used latest edition of Award Bios Editor (build 29 JAn 2007), so i made logo, 640 x 480 256 colors and used AWBM tools to convert from tiff to v2.0 epa full screen logo.

BUT
after saving room, awflash report bios image cheksum error and cant flash, If use /f then it flashes but then i get award bios block checksum error.

Any have idea how to solve this?

Many thanks,
Vladimir

For changing Award BIOS Fullscreen Logo you need commandline utility cbrom or any of the graphical interface to it.
There are many versions
EpOX Magic Screen
GigaByte FaceWizard
Aopen EZSkin
FoxConn FOX Logo
ASUS MyLogo

In all cases it does
cbrom <MB BIOS ROM> /logo image.bmp
image may be 16 or 256 colors and about 640*480 pixels
The logo may be not one - CBROM may insert 7 logo in BIOS if the size of BIOS chip allows this.

the help from CBROM /?

CBROM V2.20 (C)Phoenix Technologies, Ltd 2001 All Rights Reserved. 21:
Syntax:
E:\...\CBROM220.EXE InputFile [/other] [8000:0] [RomFile|Release|Extract]
E:\...\CBROM220.EXE InputFile [/D|logo|vga....] [RomFile|Release|Extract]
InputFile : System BIOS to be added with Option ROMs
/D : For display all combined ROMs informations in BIOS
/epa|epa1-7 : Add EPA LOGO BitMap to System BIOS
/logo|logo1-7: Add OEM LOGO BitMap to System BIOS

The last version I see of CBROM is CBROM32 version 1.95 in FoxConn FOX Logo 1.0.4.5 it runs under windows console.
I cannot post the link because i don't have needed post count.
