I got P4C800-E and tried to hotflash dead NF7-s PMC 512Kb flash (mine board also use this flashrom) but Uniflash doesn't want to flash it - it detects it, reads it well - but when it comes to flashing -
also it cannot flash mine Flashrom
WTF?
Cannot flash NF7-S BIOS with uniflasher

they are detected as "18:20:05.99: Flash ROM chip detected: PMC Pm49FL004/3.3V (LPC/FWH)" and that's true, imho.

Should be impossible to hot-flash a Firnmware Hub(FWH) type Flashrom with a mainboard using "standard" Flashroms .
You'll need an Intel machine using these Firmwarehubs as Flashrom to hot-flash

hey Denniss I tryed to flash it with my ASUS P4C800-E MoBo (it's on I875P Chipset)
I tried uniflash but nothing happened (it reads flashrom, but cannot flash it, and it cannot flash my Motherboard flashrom but also - no effect)
Also I tried AwardFlasher ver 8.12 but it hangs on flashing screen (shows a "Please Wait" message and nothing happends after)
So, WTF people? Help me please!

Some kind of misunderstanding here ....
Most if not all Intel i84x/865/875 Board have Firmware Hub type flashroms but nForce and most other mainboards have a "standard" type Flashrom
They are not compatible to each other .
Try to find a motherboard using "standard" flashroms and capabl of flashing a 512KB flashrom

Thanks for reply, Denniss, now I got it,
but where I can find mobo with such kind of socket for eeprom with support of 512 Kb
And maybe I can try to flash it on another NF7-S ???
AFAIK, uniflash doesn't work with nforce 2 MoBo's
btw - I tried to flash this dead eeprom on working NF7-S before but using standart utility - but nothing happened (awdflash said about some kind of values in LAN and etc and halted to continue)
So, any ideas? Will be very grateful!
Or maybe someone know mobo I should look for?

AFAIK Nforce2 boards do use FWH/LPC type flash chips. At least NF7 does...Denniss wrote:...and most other mainboards have a "standard" type Flashrom...
